The food plot was covered in deer, but mostly all does. It was just before dark, and we could barely see anymore when we got a glimpse of what we thought was a buck. We zoomed in and looked, and it was a large enough buck to shoot. The deer was over 270 yards, and I was unsure if I could make the shot but aimed for the deer as soon as he turned broadside. I fired and missed, shooting just under his belly. I quickly aimed again, adjusted for the distance and shot again, hitting him right in the back and dropped him.
