It was November 18, 2016, a Friday afternoon. I got off of work and went to the hunting property that I have hunted over 40 years with my son and my grandson in Walton County. I walked to a previous site and mounted my climbing stand in an oak tree on a terrace, which is where I spotted a buck but did not have a clear shot at him. I waited and watched for another 20 minutes or so, and then the 10-point walked out about 100 yards away. I shot one time with a Browning 30/06 rifle around 5:25 p.m., and he ran and dropped about 75 yards away.
