Got to the stand shortly after 4 p.m. Within few minutes a small buck came in on a trail leading through some small oaks and moved off into the overgrown clearcut. No other action until just before 6:00 when a tall, wide 6-point came in on the same trail. He stopped at a scape, rubbed the licking branch and urinated on the scrape. He immediately because nervous and went back the direction he came from. About a minute later a big 9-point came from the opposite direction straight to the same scrape. I took a broadside shot at 50 yards. He staggered and fell.
