Hunt Story

On the afternoon of opening day of rifle season, I got in the stand at 4:45 on a food plot. At 5:30, I heard a deer snort up in the pines to my right. I turned around to that direction and a doe came running out of the pines by me. Then behind her the buck came through an opening, and I could tell he was a shooter right away. As he came through another opening, I did a doe bleat with my mouth to stop him, and at 60 yards I took the shot, and he ran about 30 yards and fell within sight of me.
