Hunt Story

As a single mom, raising a boy into a young man can be challenging (especially if you know zero about hunting). With the help of wonderful friends and neighbors, Jordan's harvest was successful! Our hunt started months ago, patterning the deer. This day, we had 5 does feeding on acorns and grazing in the field. After about 45 minutes, the does started 'flashing". They were not scared, but rather just acknowledging the presence of more deer. Then, like Moses parting the Red Sea, an 8-point buck walked confidently out of the woods. He was majestic! He began grazing with the does. Jordan waited for the herd to disperse some, so he could have a clear shot. We whispered to each other to wait for a good clean shot. This few minutes seemed like an eternity! Finally, the shot presented itself, and Jordan took it. The buck dropped where he stood. Way to go Jordan!
