Hunt Story

"Tiny" appeared on camera for the first time on December 4th. We had no pictures of him in the summer or throughout the 2015 deer season. After getting a couple pictures of Tiny, my son put up a stand hoping to get a shot at this great buck. We had to have a SW or South wind to hunt this deer. My son hunted this deer Monday through Thursday with no luck. Saturday morning, with the temps in the upper 50s, I almost decided not to hunt the stand. The entire morning, I wasn't able to see more than 50 to 60 yards because the fog was very thick. Around 9:10, the fog started to lift and about that time, I caught a glimpse of horns. Knowing it was a big buck, I got my gun up, and as soon as he stepped out, I shot. He ran about 60 yards down into the hardwoods and piled up. Not knowing what buck it was, I texted my son "Big Buck Down." I sat there for 15 minutes trying to settle down before I went to check him out. As soon as I got to the buck, I knew it was Tiny.
