Hunt Story

Sitting in climber about 8:15 am, cool with a light wind. I had not seen any other deer that morning. I was sitting on the edge of a swamp where I harvested 2 good bucks from the last two years. About 8:35 am, I heard a deer running behind me. I had turned just in time to see a small doe, and right behind her was this buck. The doe had turn and was heading away from me. I yelled, trying to get the buck to stop. He stopped and then made a quick jump away from me. I yelled one more time, and he jumped again straight toward me. I shot him at 8 steps, and he dropped in his tracks. It took me a couple of minutes to calm down to be able to climb down the tree. It was a great hunt with good friends and a great Georgia buck.
