Hunt Story
"Great Day !" The name I gave this buck after I got pictures of him last year during velvet. I have had numerous pictures of him for 3 years but never laid eyes on him alive until this past summer. I thought the neighbors had killed him last year, so I was super pumped when I spotted him coming to peanuts during the summer. I hunted him hard during bow season but never could quite close the deal. Friday the 13th turned out to a "lucky" day for me this year, though I decided to give my usual stands a rest and hunt a box stand near a well known bedding area, and it payed off!! I noticed a deer come out right after 7 that morning and start making a scrape. He turned and looked, and I knew it was him! I raised my rifle, and when he stepped into a clearing, I shot and he dropped right there!! I finally had my hands on a deer I worked very hard to get, and Friday the 13th 2015 was indeed a "Great Day"!!
