Lake Oconee Fishing Report December 2017

GON Staff | November 28, 2017

Oconee: Level: Full pool. Temp: 58-63 degrees. Clarity: Above the Highway 44 bridge it is slightly stained. Clear on the south end.

Bass: Tournament angler Karl Pingry reports, “The fishing seems to be inconsistent; however, a variety of moving baits, including buzzbaits, spinnerbaits, Rat-L-Traps and ChatterBaits, are catching numbers—but no consistent quality. Bass are still on the main lake and in the front third of pockets. Expect the bait to move farther into the pockets with the bass following in the next couple of weeks. Dock fishing improves as the sun gets up in the sky.”
