Lake Nottely Fishing Report May 2018

GON Staff | April 27, 2018

Nottely: Level: 5 feet low. Temp: 57-61 degrees. Clarity: Clear on main lake, stained in backs of creeks.

Stripers: Guide Jeremy Seabolt reports, “The herring are starting to run the banks, so that means it’s time to pull boards up on the banks and work a Red Fin. We have been catching fish from one end of the lake to the other. Points 4 to 7 have been holding fish. Pull planer boards and freelines the first few hours, and then work out to deeper water and drop a few downlines. Try fishing 20 to 40 feet deep around humps. The u-rig bite is also a way to catch lots of fish. Going into May, we’ll start seeing the bigger fish show up, and the fish should start to school up better. Watch your electronics, and just find the bait and fish it.”
