Lake Nottely Fishing Report May 2016

GON Staff | April 27, 2016

Nottely: Level: 3.3 feet below full pool. Temp: 67-71 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Linesides: Guide Jeremy Seabolt reports, “Stripers are still up the river and in the creeks. You can catch them on large herring and shad by pulling freelines and planer boards. We have been pulling our freelines about 50 to 80 feet behind the boat. A few fish have shown up down the lake around Points 4 and 5. Pull larger herring at first light right up on the banks, and clip the point. We have been catching fish on downlines in 30 feet over a 50-foot bottom. When you find them, you can catch a lot. Keep a fluke or a topwater plug on hand. The fish are starting to blow up on top, so keep a eye out for them.”
