Bartletts Ferry Fishing Report January 2018

GON Staff | January 5, 2018

Bartletts Ferry: Level: 0.5 feet below full pool. Temp: 47-53 degrees. Clarity: The main lake and river are clear; creeks have some color.

Bass: Tournament director Dennis Hudson reports, “I actually like fishing Bartletts best in January and February. You can slow-drag a jig across rocky points or fish them in the deeper brush. My favorite pattern is to flip docks. You’d think that would work better on sunny days, but it actually works best on cloudy days. I like fishing a Senko under the docks. If you get some rain and some stain, I like fishing a red or crawfish-colored Strike King 1.5 or 2.0 square-bill crankbait up in the main-lake coves.”
