Hunt Story
Was hunting a close friend's (Steve Blaisdell) property with intention of thinning out some does but if we see a really good mature buck we could take him. About 8 a.m. a basket 8-point steps out followed by a spike. Texted Steve and he texted back "next one's a shooter!" and within 5 minutes this big wide 8 steps into view in the planted logging road about 75 yards away. Knew he was high and heavy and then he turned and looked in my direction and saw the spread it was more than I could stand. 150 grain 30 cal TTSX took out a shoulder along with some lung and heart....he made it all of 20 yards.
