Hunt Story

I’ve had this buck on camera since August. He’s been very nocturnal for the most part, only had 4 total daytime pictures of him since bow season started. I was hunting a thick privet and hedge row edge, and he came off a hill behind me headed toward the creek. He was following a small spike and a doe. They all fed through some white oaks before easing down to within bow range. The wind was coming out of the east and he began to get nervous, but I had no shot on him as he closed the distance to my tree. Finally he walked out from behind some vines and I had a 14-yard shot. I watched him fall at about 40 yards from my tree. Very blessed to have had a great season!
