We made our annual Thanksgiving trip to Grady County where I normally get to spend a lot of time in the woods. I hunted Wednesday morning and saw this buck about 250 yards across a cotton field. I never had a good shot but got to look at him about 15 minutes through the binoculars. My son and I went back that afternoon, and I put my son on the stand within 20 yards of where the buck had been that morning. About 5:00 the buck entered the cotton field about 75 yards from my stand and began working his way toward me. I was downwind and had plenty of time to look him over through the binoculars and scope. When he got to about 40 yards, I had a good shot and was able to drop him in his tracks.
