Hunt Story

We were originally suppose to hunt with a friend of mine on his lease Saturday, but I had hunted my lease Friday morning and had two bucks fighting out in front of me for about 10 minutes before daylight. When they broke up, they ran right by me but still too dark to see. When I left I checked the camera on the food plot, Fischer would hunt and had a shooter on camera a couple nights before. So I left it up to Fischer on where we would hunt, and he picked our place. So I told my bud, and he said he would hunt where we were supposed to and let me know. Saturday and we’re off. I got Fischer in his tree and safetyied off and went to my tree. Bout 7:30 my buddy texted me a pic of a 2 1/2-year-old 8 standing 60 yards from where we were suppose to be. My heart sank. Well I hadn’t seen anything, so I was sitting there on the forum and BOOM!!! Few seconds later my phone was ringing (dad I just shot a monster) was the first thing he said. The deer had come up through a thicket a clipped the corner of the food plot. Fischer seen him and stopped him. Made a great shot at about 60 yards. Dropped him in his tracks. This is his first buck while hunting by himself.
