The buck exited a thicket in a river bottom and was coming toward me straight on. He was grunting and had nose to ground. He looked up and made me, so I took the straight on shot before he bolted. He ran about 30 yards when I heard him crash. Found him easily, and was grateful to see he was a great 10-pointer.
