Hunt Story

Saturday morning, Nov. 12 about 8:30 a.m., a mature doe walked in on me and stood perfectly still for 10 minutes moving only her ears. She was staring away from me, and I knew something was up. I then saw about 100 yards away a deer moving through the brush. It was a shooter buck, and I knew I wanted him but he just disappeared. My immediate thought was God please send him back to me. About that time a coyote came busting through the woods and up went the tail and away went the doe. I knew for sure the hunt was over. About an hour passed and back came the buck from the direction I saw him disappear. I immediately thanked God and asked him to turn him in my direction, and assured him I would take care of the rest. Well he did and I did. A broadside heart shot at about 80 yards. He made a small circle about the size of a pickup truck and hit the ground.
