Hunt Story
I was hunting in between the bedroom and the kitchen trying to intercept these deer before they reached the fields. We knew that with a 15 degree drop in temperature that the deer would be on their feet early. And....we were right. This deer was the sixth deer I had seen. He was traveling with another smaller 8 pointer. He got into the thicket behind me and there was only one hole to shoot through if he stayed on the same route the smaller buck took. He did exactly that and I bleated to stop him. A 40 yard shot with my papa's .280 right in the shoulder put him down quick. This makes my third buck with my papa's gun.....two 8s and now a 9!!!!!! Thankful to the Lord for the opportunity to share this awesome hunt with my dad and twin brothers.
