Hunt Story

I set up in a cypress swamp and was doing grunting and doe bleating. The doe came running in, and the buck was behind her. He stopped behind big bay trees. I had to grunt two more times to get him to come on out. I shot him with my muzzleloader. He stumbled into a thicket. I waited a few minutes, climbed down, went over and he was piled up in the thicket. (Editor's Note: Bo was hunting during a special early primitive-weapons deer hunt at Dixon Memorial WMA. Per Truck-Buck rules, since the general muzzleloader season wasn't yet open, Bo can't compete for Week 4 prizes, but he's eligible for the Public-Lane Wildcard.)
