Hunt Story

I decided to go deep into the woods for the first time this season. I had what I thought was a good wind to go in there. I knew this deer was somewhere in this head of woods in daylight, but it was so thick, it was going to be hard to pinpoint. After fighting the thick canes with my climber, I had found the only spot that was open enough to shoot 20 yards in either direction, and there were some good acorns on the ground. At 6:15, I heard my buddies on their land riding 4-wheelers around their property, and about that time I heard some crashing through the canes. I saw a group of hogs first, but right behind them this deer came ripping through the canes. He was spooked by the ATVs, and by the time, I could see him he was less than 10 feet from tree. I was able to put a shot together right as he was busting out at 15 yards, and I punched right through him. AWESOME HUNT!
