Hunt Story

Around 6:45 PM a spike eased out of a thicker area and searched for acorns near my stand. After working within about 5 yards or so, he suspected something and stared me down before walking off acting a bit spooked. Fortunately, he never ran or blew to alert other deer. A few minutes later I heard a rustling and saw a deer angling my direction headed toward the same oak trees. As soon as it crossed a shallow depression, I could positively identify it as a shooter buck. I was aware that this buck was in the area, and we had passed him up the previous year, realizing his potential. In addition to great genetics, he benefited from supplemental Buck Muscle brand feed for two antler growing seasons in cooperative efforts with local management-participating landowners.
