Grilled Gobbler Kebabs

I stumbled upon this recipe on the Outdoors Alabama website and thought I would give it a try. It was easy and much better than I expected. It was flavorful and juicy.

2-lbs. wild turkey breast

16-ozs. lemon pepper marinade

Cajun seasoning

2 Vidalia onions, quartered

1 green bell pepper

1 red bell pepper

2 tomatoes barely ripened.

8-oz. package mushrooms

Kebab skewers

Slice turkey meat into 1- to 2-inch squares, and place in large bowl. Pour entire contents of marinade into bowl and thoroughly mix into meat. Cover and place in refrigerator for 8 hours; stir at least once after 4 hours. Cut bell peppers into 2-inch squares. Separate layers of onions.

Alternately thread peppers, tomato, meat, onion and mushrooms onto skewers. Season to taste. Place skewers onto preheated grill surface, and cook at medium heat for 6-8 minutes, turning as needed to cook meat completely and to give golden, crisp texture to vegetables.
