Wild Game Recipes: Venison Stew

GON Staff | June 3, 2014

This recipe is easy and tasty, you gotta try it. Get some venison from the freezer, and get to work.
You’ll need:
2 lbs. ground venison
2 cans pinto beans
2 cans Rotel tomatoes
2 cans yellow hominy or white corn
1 package of taco-seasoning mix
1 package of original Ranch dressing mix (dry)
1 medium onion (chopped)

Brown your ground venison in a pan. After browning, put the venison in a strainer, rinse it with hot water, and allow it to drain.
Combine venison with all the ingredients in a crock pot. Cook the mixture on low for eight hours.
Enjoy with garlic bread or oyster crackers.
