Sportsmen's Voice Regarding Urban Deer Plan Hearings
Three letters have been prepared for presentation to our DNR Board Members. Each letter states a position regarding WRD’s decision to implement its Urban Deer Management Plan without providing an opportunity for public input prior to implementation. The purpose of the letters is to inform the DNR Board about sportsmen’s reaction to this WRD change from holding hearings to eliminating hearings regarding significant changes to wildlife law and or management.
The complete text of each letter is available from the links below. By signing the letter that best expresses your opinion on hearings for the Urban Deer Management Plan, you are sending your voice to your DNR Board member on this important issue.
Your groups can support these goals as well. You can sign up your group in support of any one, or all of these letters. You can also sign on to support these letters just as an individual. As groups, hunting clubs and individuals sign on in support of these letters and the goals they set forth, GON will notify both of our DNR Board members and our legislators about the position of that group or individual in their District.
