Savage Arms Introduces AXIS II Entry-Level Rifle

GON Staff | December 9, 2015

When Savage came out with the AXIS XP a few years back, it totally changed what hunters expected in an entry-level rifle. With accuracy that beat anything in its price range and beyond, it quickly became one of the most popular rifle packages in America.

Savage has done it again with the AXIS II XP. Savage took everything that made the AXIS great and added the legendary AccuTrigger and a Weaver KASPA scope, which comes mounted and boresighted. All you need to do is open the box, fine-tune zero and hunt.

The synthetic stock comes in a matte finish, and it comes with a Weaver KASPA 3x9x40 scope. It is available in .22-250, .223, .25-06, .270, .30-06, .308 and 7mm-08 sizes.

The suggested retail price is $475.
