NWTF State Convention Coming To The Dillard House Jan. 10-11

Brad Gill | January 2, 2014

When it’s too cold outside to do much of anything else, make plans to spend the weekend of Jan. 10-11, 2014 at The Dillard House for the Georgia Chapter National Wild Turkey Federation State Convention and Trade Show. Hosted just a few months before Georgia’s spring turkey season, there will be no better place for the turkey-hunting guru to be.

At the show, you’ll hear some fantastic turkey calling at the Georgia State & Dixie Classic Open Calling Contest championships. For contest info, call Joey Lamb at (770) 402-2010.

The highly entertaining and educational Steve Scruggs will be there on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with his famous “Snakes Alive” program.

An awards banquet and auction will take place on Saturday evening at 6 p.m. Tickets are limited but are just $40.

Also, you can meet turkey-call makers, knife makers and other outdoor vendors from across the South. Show hours on Friday are from 3-7 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is FREE.

For convention information, call Dave Wamer at (404) 316-1283 or Ken Whitley at (478) 781-1947. You can also visit www.georgianwtf.org.

For lodging reservations, please call the Dillard House at (800) 541-0671. Make sure you ask for the Georgia Chapter NWTF Convention special rate.
