DU Sponsorship Brings Prizes To State Duck-Calling Contests On Aug. 4

Yeti coolers, Avery blind bags, 100 percent payback and state titles up for grabs.

Three state-champion titles are enough to attract some of the nation’s top duck callers to three Georgia State duck-calling contests. Throw in some Yeti coolers, Avery blind bags and 100 percent payback, and the contests will likely be a who’s-who of competition duck callers.

Three Georgia State Duck Calling Contests will be held Sunday, Aug. 4 during the Outdoor Blast at the Gwinnett Center in Duluth.

Ducks Unlimited is back on board as a primary sponsor of the contests.

The sanctioned Georgia State Duck Calling Contest begins at 10:30 a.m. will be the first title up for grabs. This will crown a Georgia state champ and punch a ticket to the World’s Championship Duck Calling Contest in Stuttgart, Ark.

Next, the Georgia State Meat Championship will be held. Past champions of this title include Antonio “Duckman” Jones, who a few months after winning the Georgia State Meat was crowned World Champion in Stuttgart. There’s also the entertaining Georgia State Two-man Championship. Entry fees are $40 for the Sanctioned Georgia State Duck Calling Contest, $25 for the Georgia State meat Championship, and $50 per team for the Georgia State Two-man Championship.
