Lake Weiss Fishing Report June 2016

Weiss: Level: 0.1 feet below full pool. Temp: 79-81 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass Good. Guide Mark Collins reports, “Most bass are done spawning and have moved into the grassbeds and under shallow docks. Spinnerbaits, ChatterBaits and jigs are catching fish, and the topwater bite is also good early and late.”

Crappie: Fair. Guide Mark Collins reports, “Most fish have spawned, and they can be caught spider rigging with minnows on the creek and river channel ledges and deeper cover.”

Striper: Good. Guide Mark Collins reports, “They are starting to be caught in the lower Chattooga River, at the Cave Hole in Little River and Little Spring Creek.”

Catfish: They are biting good in the flats on cutbait.
