Lake Nottely Fishing Report November 2016

GON Staff | October 26, 2016

Nottely: Level: 12.9 feet low. Temp: 71-73 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Linesides: Guide Jeremy Seabolt reports, “We have been fishing the mouth of creeks and humps that are 60 to 80 feet deep. This has been a good start up for the fall. We are still catching lots of 6- to 12-lb. fish on downlines dropped 40 to 70 feet deep. Fish are still schooled up in big groups on Nottely, but don’t let that fool you. We have a good topwater bite, as well, but most are small fish schooling with some fish in the teens mixed in. We have been pulling freelines and boards, as well as downlines. The average catch is 20- to 30-fish mornings. We should have an awesome November. We will start pulling big baits in the feeder creeks and river, and the topwater bite should be good by the second week in November. Look for fish to be schooling from Points 4 to 6. Throw poppers, flukes and about anything you have in the box. If you can get it in the swirls, you should have a fish on.”
