Lake Nottely Fishing Report June 2016

GON Staff | June 3, 2016

Nottely: Level: Full pool. Temp: 73-76 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Linesides: Guide Jeremy Seabolt reports, “The stripers and hybrids are on the move, and they are hungry. We have been fishing from the dam at Point 1 all the way up to Point 9. Fish are being caught on a 30- to 40-foot bottom downlining large herring. We’ve been getting some on freelines and topwater plugs at first light. I believe we are going to have one of the best downline bites on Nottely that we have had in a long time. We’ve been getting 10 to 20 fish by 7:30-8:30 a.m., and they are some fat fish this year. As the summer gets closer, start looking in deeper water close to the river channel. As always, keep a topwater plug ready. You never know when they are going to bust on topwater. Some of our bigger fish have come off topwater this week.”
