Lake Nottely Fishing Report July 2018

GON Staff | June 28, 2018

Nottely: Level: 1.6 feet above full. Temp: 83 degrees. Clarity: Clear in the lake, stained in the river.

Linesides: Guide Jeremy Seabolt reports, “We are starting to see the fish school up in bigger schools everyday. We have been catching fish everywhere in the morning. We have been pulling weighed freelines until the sun comes up. The fish have been on the 20-foot deep points, and when the sun gets up, we been moving with the fish out to deeper water and downlining herring. We are also pulling Capt. Mack u-rigs 100 to 125 feet behind the boat at 2.5 to 3 mph. You have got to be flexible from day to day. Some days the fish are on the pink trailers. July is one of my favorite months to fish as they head to deep water and get in to some big schools. With the warmer water, the fish stress out lots more, so remember to get fish up, get pictures and get them back into the water.”
