Lake Nottely Fishing Report July 2016

GON Staff | June 29, 2016

Nottely: Level: Full pool. Temp: 83 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Stripers: Guide Jeremy Seabolt reported live from the lake on June 24. “The stripers are set up on their summer pattern,” Jeremy said. “We’re catching fish in 30 to 60 feet of water. The fish are from Point 7 to the dam. Find the balls of bait, and you should see stripers in it. The u-rig bite is picking up for midday schools. The fish we have been catching are running from 10 pounds to 25. You can also catch stripers up the river in the late afternoons pulling freelines. July should be on fire on downlines, so start looking for fish on your Lowrance in 50 to 80 feet water. Larger herring are still working the best for me.”
