Stripers: Guide Jeremy Seabolt reports, “We have a strong downline bite. We have been catching fish from 30 feet to 100 feet deep downlining herring. All our fish are nice size this year. We been fishing from the dam to Point 2. You have to stay on the move to keep up with the schools fish and change your bait out of ton. The key is keeping fresh bait down there for the fish. If you are marking fish and your rods are not bent, you better be changing bait out. We are also catching fish on the u-rig pulling it a 125 feet to 150 feet behind boat. August is a good month to put fish in the boat.”
