Lake Nottely Fishing Report April 2017

GON Staff | March 29, 2017

Nottely: Level: 10.4 feet below full pool. Temp: 57-61 degrees. Clarity: Mostly clear.

Stripers: Guide Jeremy Seabolt reports, “It has been hit and miss, but as of the last two days, the fishing has been hot. In the mornings, we have been fishing the flats at Point 11. There are lots of birds and topwater action going on first thing in the mornings. Pulling large herring and shad is what they’re wanting. Fishing freelines 70 to 100 feet behind boat has been working the best with herring. Around 9 a.m., we have been switching over to downlines and fishing a 40- to 60-foot bottom. The Redfin bite is also getting good. Going into April, I’m looking for it to get even better. The fish up here will be gorging themselves to get ready to go up the river. I look to see some trophy-sized hybrids and stripers to be caught at Nottely.”
