Lake Eufaula Fishing Report March 2018

GON Staff | March 6, 2018

Eufaula: Level: 0.1 feet below 190 full pool. Temp: Low to mid 60s. Clarity: Stained.

Bass: Tournament angler Les Bratcher ( #bigbitebaits #alxrods ) reports, “It’s that time of year! With warm, stained water, the springtime bite has started, and this lake is going to be on fire. I am getting reports of good catches from all over the lake, both shallow and deep. I saw 60-degree water (Feb. 16). Some anglers are already looking for spawning fish, while some are targeting staging fish. It’s up to you. The anglers who are offshore are getting bites on jigs, crankbaits and Carolina rigs. The bank guys are using plastics, spinnerbaits, ChatterBaits, squarebill crankbaits and swim jigs to catch Eufaula bass. The best advise would be pick the style you like, and go catch’em. Tight lines till next time.”
