Lake Chatuge Fishing Report September 2015

GON Staff | September 30, 2015

Chatuge: Level: 3.6 feet below full pool. Temp: 77 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Guide Eric Welch reports, “The bite has picked up. There has been a topwater bite first thing in the morning around the flats. I’m throwing Strike King Sexy Dawgs and Zara Spooks. You can also throw a fluke around docks and catch some fish. After the morning bite, I start targeting laydowns and offshore brush. I’m using jigs, Texas rigs and drop shots. Some of the fish are hanging on the secondary points. Watch your electronics. This is the best time of year to start seeing the fish chasing bait balls.”
