Lake Chatuge Fishing Report May 2016

GON Staff | April 27, 2016

Chatuge: Level: 1.5 feet below full pool. Temp: 66 degrees. Clarity: Light stain in the creeks, but the main lake is clear.

Linesides: Guide Jeremy Seabolt reports, “The hybrid and spots are on fire up the creeks and around the dam. We’ve been catching hybrids on planer boards with large herring and picking up a lot of big spots. If you can find the bait in the backs, you have found the fish. Nighttime you can still catch a lot of hybrids fishing downrods or jigging a Flex-it spoon. I have seen more topwater down around the dam at first light.”
