Lake Chatuge Fishing Report February 2017

GON Staff | February 1, 2017

Chatuge: Level: 7.1 feet below full pool. Temp: 45-47 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Guide Eric Welch reports, “The bass bite has been good at Lake Chatuge. The largemouth and spotted bass have started moving up in the backs of the pockets and creeks on these sunny, blue-bird days and are hammering an Alabama Rig with 5-inch swimbaits. You can also catch some fish off points, bluff banks and around docks throwing a 3/8-oz. PB&J-colored jig. Find long creek runs, and throw a Strike King 5XD down it. You can still catch fish on a drop shot using a 4.5-inch Roboworm around docks and long points.”
