Lake Blue Ridge Fishing Report June 2017

GON Staff | June 1, 2017

Blue Ridge: Level: 1 foot below full pool. Temp: 68-71 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Guide Eric Welch reports, “The fishing has been fair the past couple of weeks. The bass are done spawning and have moved out to deeper water. You can mark a lot of fish on your electronics out on points and at creek mouths. But they are in that postspawn funk right now where the bite has been day to day, and TVA has been letting the lake get to full pool for Memorial weekend. But the fish we are catching have come on shaky heads, tubes, jigs, flukes and by drop shotting 4.5-inch Roboworms. There are some fish around the deeper docks and in pockets, but your best bite is going to be on main-lake points and in pockets. This upcoming month you will start seeing more breaking fish in the mornings and throughout the day. I’m targeting them with Strike King Sexy Dawgs and Pop-Rs.”
