Lake Blackshear Fishing Report November 2015

GON Staff | October 29, 2015

Blackshear: Level: Full. Temp.: 65 degrees.

Crappie: Rusty Parker reports, “The crappie have been on fire. I have heard from several people who have limited out on some good crappie. Just this past week I talked to a man not very familiar with Blackshear, and he was able to find some great structure in 25 feet of water and ended up catching some slab crappie, with one weighing a little over 2 pounds and two more that were a little over 1 1/2 pounds. Most of the crappie being caught now have been caught over structure on the channel ledges by tightlining minnows. I have caught some nice slabs by shooting a few docks with the chartreuse/pink/chartreuse and white/green/white Sore Lip Slab crappie jigs. I sold my jig business but help the new owner. New owner and new name but the same high quality crappie jig. May your catch be large and plentiful, and God bless you all.”
