Bartletts Ferry Fishing Report May 2016

GON Staff | April 27, 2016

Bartletts Ferry: Level: 0.3 feet below full pool. Temp: 70 degrees. Clarity: Light stain.

Bass: Tournament director Dennis Hudson reports, “Most of the bass will be coming off the bed around the first of the month, and you can’t go wrong here fishing in the backs of pockets throwing topwater around bream beds. It’s a pattern almost everybody has success on. The bass will be hungry, and the bream are easy pickings. Once the grass starts to green up later in the month, the majority of the bass will move there. Pop-Rs fished on the edge of the grass and frogs fished in the grass both work great. If you find some grass near a seawall and a bream bed is close by, it’s about a perfect situation.”
