Bartletts Ferry Fishing Report March 2017

GON Staff | March 1, 2017

Bartletts Ferry: Level: 0.1 feet below full pool. Temp: 58-59 degrees. Clarity: The main lake is clear, and the creeks have a light stain.

Bass: Tournament angler Dennis Hudson reports, “The bass are starting to move into the prespawn areas. They are already staging on the boat docks near the mouths of cuts. Black-and-blue jigs are working good, and a green-pumpkin color always works good here when the water is pretty clear. Skipping a Senko under the docks is working pretty good, too. There are a few spots mixed in with the largemouth under the docks, but it is primarily largemouth. Once it warms up a little more, these bass will leave the docks and start spreading out along the banks and eventually into the pockets, and then you’ll start flipping wood. I think these bass may be on the beds by the next full moon.”
