Bartletts Ferry Fishing Report – August 2017

GON Staff | August 2, 2017

Bartletts Ferry: Level: 1 foot below full pool. Temp: 84-86 degrees. Clarity: Creeks have a good stain; river is clear.

Bass: Tournament director Dennis Hudson reports, “My advice is to go early. You can catch a few bass at daylight on topwater on a Spro Poppin Frog, but it doesn’t last long. I caught four in the first 30 minutes the other morning and never caught another bass. Fishing is a little better at night. Most of the guys are fishing dock lights with small worms or small crankbaits, but that’s falling off now, too. Your best bet is to just ease down the banks dragging a worm or jig.”
