| Outdoor Blast Coming Back To Macon July 22-24 |

The Outdoor Blast is a weekend of outdoor-related activities attended by sportsmen from across the state. Make plans to visit GON in Macon July 22-24 at the Blast.

By the end of July, the Georgia summer has begun to take its toll on most of us. Too hot to fish, and hunting seasons still five or six weeks away, what’s a sportsman to do?
The obvious choice is to load up the family and head to Macon for GON’s Outdoor Blast at the Macon Centreplex.
This year the Blast is taking place July 22-24. The outdoor show is run by the folks at GON magazine and offers hunters and anglers three days of events, contests, kid activities and outdoor vendors.
A highlight of the Outdoor Blast is the Truck-Buck Shoot-Out, the culmination of last deer season’s big-buck contest. The Shoot-Out is an exciting pellet-rifle competition where Georgia deer hunters get a chance to compete for great prizes including a new pickup truck and a 4-wheeler. The Truck-Buck Shoot-Out includes preliminary North vs. South competition on Saturday, July 23 and the grand-prize finals on Sunday, July 24 at 3 p.m.
In addition, the Blast will play host to the second annual youth-only SEEDS Shoot-Out on Saturday evening, July 23.
Other highlights of the Outdoor Blast include:
• Get your mount measured for County-by-County records. Official scorers will be on hand, measuring racks for free.
• Shoot the Georgia Bowhunter Classic. Show up at any time with your bow, shoot and compete for money.
• Kids are always a Blast emphasis, and again there will be lots of free activities to keep the kids happy.
• The “Wall of Fame” is back, displaying more than 40 of the best deer mounts from last season’s bucks.
